Today has been good
Oct. 30th, 2008 07:34 pmI woke up after sleeping about five hours and felt pretty good for once. I could smell apple pie baking, and Colin said I can have some as long as it's okay for the diabetes. I did and it rules. Also, he keeps making me soup! lol.
I went into the city because I needed to check for mail at the BUNAC office. I got my account info from the bank here, but although they said they'd be sending my card, it wasn't there. I might go to the branch tomorrow and ask if they sent it. It does have to go to London first and then back here, so maybe it's on its way. Either way, I kinda need that lol.
I applied for several jobs this morning and was going to go to a temp agancy, but got a little low as I was wandering around so I decided to wait until tomorrow. They wont start me until monday anyway, so I figure one more day won't hurt anything. I'm getting really frustrated trying to find something, I apply everywhere and no one gets back to me.
Anyway, I decided to wander the city for a little bit. I went into a home store and started planning how to decprate my room in Sweden when I get there. I think I'm going to go with black and white and maybe some red. I like green but meh, I dont know how to make that work. I want wall shelves with vases, and a lamp with a black shade with a white pattern on it. Then I want a tapestry on the wall. I might have posters on the other walls but I think I'd like to do a series of smaller paintings in a pattern.
I'm going to make a platform bed when I get there. They sell kits for that but I can just make my own. Then I'll need a desk, which I can make if I need to. And bookshelves, which I can also make. I could try making a dresser but fuck it, i dont know how to do that so I'll buy a cheap one. I think I'd like to either repaint the walls or get wallpaper since I dont really like blue.
I'd like the end result to be something like this:
