Random update

My roomie and his girlfriend brought it over late last night. Roomie's gf said it's old, but I looked it over and it has a DVD drive, so it can't be completely ancient. When I get home tonight I'm gonna see what OS it has, and how much memory and yada yada. But memory is very easily upgraded so I'm not too worried. I'm hoping it has XP, if it has Windows 98 I'm gonna be a little upset. lol.
Still, I have a computer! Roomie said he's getting me a computer desk from his mum, too, and I'll have that on Tuesday, which will be perfect since internet is getting installed on Wednesday.
I sold my laptop today too, for £50 to a guy who collects and uses faulty ones for parts. There was nothing special on it anyway, and by the time I sent it in for warranty it'd be 2012. I'm just calling that $580 a loss. It sucks, but meh, what can you do, right? At least I got about $100 back on it, and it's completely nonfunctional. The guy i took it to said it'd cost more to replace the drive than to just buy a new one.
So, things are going well. Now i just need a job and I'll be set. I don't like it when things are this good, makes me think something will go wrong for me.
But then I think, well, i've had a really shitty few years. Isn't it time I got some good stuff? And I don't think it's all luck. I had to put in work to get here.
I just, more than anything in the world, i want to get into Umeå for grad school. That's like, the ultimate goal for me right now. I HAVE to do this or I'm going to fucking lose it.
