I cant sleep
Nov. 6th, 2008 06:28 amand I've been awake thinking about what I can do to save myself.
Short answer: nothing much. lol.
Longer answer: since rent is due on the 11th, and even if I get a job today I won't receive a check for at least a couple weeks, I won't be able to pay my rent. Rent is £69 per week or £300 monthly. I did pay a deposit when I moved in of £150, and since my roomie owns the place I could ask him to take two weeks out of that and just keep the deposit, and that I'll pay for any damages I make (not that I plan to make any).
This is all well and good, but I'm not sure it'll work. For one thing, I have been applying EVERYWHERE and have heard nothing yet, even from fast food places and temp agencies. Therefore, I have no idea when I'll be able to get a job, although I hope every day that someone will call. I also have absolutely no money and therefore if I do get an interview somewhere, I'll likely not be able to get to it, which doesnt help me a bit. (I applied to everywhere that I could close to here, but...meh. My luck none of them will call. If they do, hooray! lol).
That, and I have about a day and a half to two days before I run out of food. I bought some the other day but I didn't have enough to get much. So, yeah.
But I've decided that since I can't make money appear out of thin air, I'm not gonna stress myself into a coma over it. What happens is going to have to be what happens. I begged my family, no luck. I begged everyone else I could possibly think of, and there's just nothing more I can do. If I have to go on the street again and dig through garbage cans for dinner, well, it's not like I've never done that before. The UK is warm as fuck anyway, I'll be fine. It'll be a good way to lose weight, too. lol.
Honestly I'm sure I'll get a job very soon. Christmas is coming up and I've applied at about a thousand shops, they just don't hire for the holidays QUITE this early. Which sucks, but meh, what can I do?
So, I'm just sorta living with the attitude of what happens happens. There's nothing more I can do. In the meantime, I'm gonna enjoy my last week of internet and a warm home.
