Yep, those are pretty much my plan for spring break now that I'm not going to L4. I booked a Greyhound to NYC on Thursday March 13th...that won't get to the Port Authority building until the 14th at 10:40pm, lol. That's all the reason I need to finally get that 30gb Zune I've had my eye on for months, though.
I'm still looking at hotels...well, actually hostels, since my ass is poor. Reading the reviews on most of them has me scared, but I'll be running around doing so much stuff it shouldn't really matter much. As long as I have a private room and a TV to fall asleep to, I'll be fine.
I'm deliriously excited about it. I've never been there but always wanted to go, so I'm just counting the days. I want to see everything I can in the five days I'll be there. I'm even considering dropping the cash on a helicopter tour, lol. I'm sure common sense and poorness will prevent me from actually doing it, but I kinda think it'd be cool. I'm definitely gonna see Lady Liberty and climb up and take pictures from the top of the Empire State Building. And museums! I wanna see some kick ass museums. I'm such a nerd. Oh, and meet Melissa at some point in her busy schedule.
Greyhound tickets from NYC to Washington DC are only $22 online, with half of that back if I write a trip review, so I'm totally doing that. Mainly because I want to see the capital, but also because it's really cheap and I'd feel bad if I didn't do it. I also wanna go see Niagara Falls, but I think what I have planned thus far is enough money to blow on one trip, lol.
I'm so freaking happy! This is huge for me, and I'm just giddy about it. I've been smiling for the past two days, and it's awesome. :D
