blah blah yet again
Oct. 28th, 2007 12:48 amI've been super busy lately, writing and getting ready for the convention (only a month from today!!) I'm not sure I mentioned it yet, but I managed to secure a private writing deal that lets me write without having to do much with an outside job, which is a huge help at this point.
I've been trying again to decide what to do with my future. I haven't been the greatest of people in the past, but I really want to change that, and I'm making an effort. I think location has a ton to do with it too. I did some Googling and found out about something called the BUNAC visa, which will let me go to work in the UK for 6 months after a semester of full-time enrollment at a college. I'm seriously considering going for it next summer and staying through til December or so. Then, I can go to Ireland and work for 4 months. Granted, it may not help much with schooling, since due to finances being what they are I'm still quite a ways from a degree...damn transcripts. But I really think that if I don't do this, I'll regret it the rest of my life. And the visa is to work, so I can be saving up while I'm there...and if the currency exchange rate stays the same, I'll come back with quite a bit. :) Then, maybe I can come back, finish up my bachelor's degree and get started on grad school. Hopefully, something degree-wise will happen by the time I'm 30, lol.
I'm also considering taking some correspondence courses to get a pharmacy technician license. That way, I can move to Chicago for a bit, take online course through Western Illinois and get my bachelor's while I work in a great city. I wouldn't have to worry about transportation, either. After that, I'm not sure, but I can get another BUNAC visa when that's done and go back if I choose, or to Australia. Yay.
That's pretty much it for now. I'm pretty damn boring, all I do it write and think too much about stupid things.
