Well, my life is still boring, no big changes there, lol. I'm still trying to figure out what to do about school. I can't go to WIU until I can pay off the other school to have my transcript sent, and it'd cost me 12 grand to get a paralegal assistant's certificate. Eff that, yo. They make jack anyway, why would I pay so much to get it? Looks like it's back to the juco for me. Which, when you think about it, isn't so bad. I need to quit putting such a strict time limit on my education. I want to get there and I will, so what if it's more slowly than other people? Most people have their families helping them, and most don't go though health stuff while in school. So I think I'm all right. I'm shooting for WIU in the spring, but if not, big deal. I'll be fine. I also decided to take that income tax course this fall. Grad school is a whole new ballgame, and I only have about a year left of undergrad. I'll make it.
The job situation still sucks due to lack of transportation, but I bit the bullet and have applied at a lot of fast food joints. Hell, probably the only thing I can get at this point, and that's okay. It's not permanent. So I work fast food for a couple years while I finish undergrad. I'll live.
I'm still planning to go to England this fall, but due to passports being so fucking insanely slow I might go ahead and pay for expedited service through a courier. They do offer that, it just tacks another hundred onto the fees. But really, my event ticket and room costs were over $300, so what's another hundred? Better than not getting to go and losing the money I've spent so far.
So...yeah. that's pretty much it. I'm making an effort to be more social. I've been going to the 20's and 30's meeting nights at the gay and lesbian center here, but it's tough because it goes from 7 to 9pm twice a month. The bus stops running at 8:30, so to get home I'd have to leave at 7:30. Gay as hell, and not in a good way.
I can't wait for grad school. I'll live on campus, have a meal plan, tons of social activities right there, and...yeah. Life shall be grand. Lol. Now, if I could make the next two years speed by, I'd be perfect.
