Cleaning house?
Jun. 19th, 2007 06:21 pmOkay. I'm sitting in my apartment, and it's clean. I just vacuumed and dusted and wiped down all the glass and put new air fresheners in and all that jazz last Thursday. It's Tuesday, and I have an overwhelming urge to clean the entire place again. This is stupid, because as I just said, it's already clean (I even wiped down the computer desk last night, there are no dishes dirty and no messes, etc.) and cleaning it again would be absolutely pointless.
I really think I might become one of those weird OCD germophobes who have to have everything 100% spic and span all the damn time. Hell, when I first moved in here I was a typical teenager, leaving dishes out, clothes in a pile on the floor, and messes wherever I felt like it. I grew up in a house where my dad saved everything and would frequently get even more crap from dumpsters and such, so I guess it's not surprising. Over the years, though, I've gotten obsessive to the point where it bothers me to sit and watch TV knowing there are dishes in the sink. Meh, better than swarms of vermin or something, I guess.
I got a new computer last week, since mine finally bit the bullet. The old one and the box for the new one are sitting in the middle of the office, so I'm sure that's contributing to my weird desire to clean. I also sent in an application for the only university in the area, so wish me luck if you do that kind of thing. The work situation is good, but I think I'm to the point where I'm beginning to hate thinking that this might be all my life becomes. Hence, more school! God, I'm such a nerd.
I'm thinking of submitting one of my novels to a publishing house. I'm sure it'll go nowhere, but it'll give me something to do....for a while.
Damn, look how boring I am. I really don't think I have anything more to say.
*goes back to typing out fanfic*
