Definitely don't move to So Cal, you have to have a car to go anywhere. I know it wasn't on your list, but thought I'd mention it anyway. I wouldn't know what to do without my truck, but public transportation here is horrendous. Honestly, I've never taken public transportation here. When I've traveled for work, I've taken subways, but that's about it. So much fun. Well I hope your fear gets lessened with more drive time. I actually love to drive and tend to be the one to volunteer when going out. I also drive a stick to add to the fun and complication of driving. At least you don't have to worry about traffic like I do.
