Hooray for callbacks!

Yep, got one after a great interview at what I thought was a telemarketing place. Well, I suppose it still is, but not in that annoying "I'm calling people at home during dinner" sort of way. The company basically sells ad space to companies so they can promote their business in high school yearbooks, newspapers, fliers at games, etc. Seems pretty reputable, although all I know at this point is what I've been told. I did get the chance to talk to some of the workers outside on their breaks, though, and things sound good. From the interview I knew there were no nights or weekends, benefits are included, and the base wage is $11 per hour...but that doesn't seem to be what these people make. I talked to a guy who laughed and said he'd feel poor making that, he takes home almost $800 a week after taxes and insurance stuff.

I know it might not sound like too much in other areas of the country/world, but it'd translate into over 40k a year, and that's damn good for this area.

It's raining. How the fuck is it raining at the end of December in northern Illinois? I want snow for Christmas, dammit!

I finally got my grades from school, and I'm so amazingly average it makes me laugh. Straight C's, GPA at 2.44 cumulative. Dammit. But I'm laughing because it appears I now accept mediocrity.

Anyway, yay. Happy. So happy that my update of You just doesn't seem to be happening. I have about 4 pages in Word, and I'd really like to get it posted tonight, but I don't know if it'll happen. The story's there, but it's fucking sad and it makes me remember all the surreal shit that happened to me in that situation. I kinda want to just veg out and read a book or watch some shitty stupid TV instead of finishing it tonight. I think my goal of getting all the S3 shit out of the way before S4 premieres is next to impossible...but I'll try. Maybe.
