Dreams about the future
are sometimes fun. The one I had last night (maybe the night before, i dont remember) was. It was weird, but it was really really good.
It started out at my grandpa's house, which I guess isn't too weird because if I were actually moving out of the country I'm sure I'd go over there to say goodbye. It was rainy and kinda cold outside, but I had my green parka so I was okay. I remember my grandpa telling me to charge my phone a lot. My grandma wasn't in this dream, and that kinda has me worried because she's been having health problems recently. I dunno.
The next thing I know, I'm at some kind of airport terminal, except it looked more like a bus station. It looked like shows I've seen about Alaska, but it wasn't Alaska because people were saying things in a funny language. I'm sure it was Swedish, but it sounded weird. Of course, it probably will when I get there anyway. I mean, I THINK I have an idea of what it sounds like, but I'm probably way off.
Anyway, all the clocks were weird there. This is actually a really cool part of the dream, because DD told me earlier tonight that they don't use am and pm in Sweden. So my brain knew something before I did. I love it when that happens, it's so fucking cool. But all I did for the first part of the dream was wander this lodge-looking place. I found a small room off in the corner and went to change my clothes, and I realized I didn't have my cell phone. I was freaking out in the dream because I needed it to call DD and tell her I'd made it to Stockholm, so I dumped everything out of my luggage and looked around for it. No luck, so I went back into the main concourse to look for a payphone. they seemed weird to me and I knew I wouldn't be able to get them to work, so I turned around and decided to go get a train ticket to Umeå.
On the way to the train terminal I passed several public toilets and realized I had to pee. I didn't want to though, because in the dream the toilets were exposed. There were walls to enclose them, but I had no idea how they worked, and I didn't want to go in one and then look like a total dumbass when I couldn't get the walls to close. So, I just kept walking.
I came to the end of the airport, and outside there was just snow and pine trees and a really big highway. I was in a coffeeshop type of place, and one of the baristas seemed to notice I was lost because she asked me what I needed. I told her I needed a train to Umeå and asked where the station was, and she told me I was in it. Then she took a laptop out from under the counter and asked when I wanted to leave. I said as soon as possible and she printed me a ticket and pointed me outside. I guess I got lucky because there was a bus pulling up right then. I dunno what happened to the train, but whatever.
So, I got on the bus and the seats were weird. They were all facing the windows! Like, in pairs, one behind the other, for each side, going back quite a ways. I sat as close to the driver as I could, and a really nice lady sat beside me. She noticed my accent and started talking to me, and when i said I had a friend in Umeå she let me borrow her phone so I could call DD. lol. But I texted her instead because she doesnt like to answer the phone. Anyway, she told me to just come to her apartment when I got there, but I was like "I don't know where that is, fucktard," and she said she'd come find me instead, lol.
I was really tired from the trip so i tried to take a nap, but I got woken up when the bus stopped. Somebody broke down on the side of the road and the driver knew how to fix their car. When she was done with that she got back on and told me not to sleep because I needed to see my new country. So, I looked at the highway and the snow. And I tried to see if the cars were different in Sweden than they are in America, but no. Not so much. There are just less of them.
I didn't get to see the dream through because my alarm went off, but all through it I was happy. Well, at least after I got to Sweden. No matter how weird it was, I felt good. I wasn't anxious or nervous at all. I was happy. I NEVER feel that way, and especially not in dreams. And it felt like it was going to happen. When I woke up, I cried.
